Today, at 10:30h the defense of the Final Project "Contributions to low cost and real time smart video surveillance systems and their industrial deployment" will take place in Sala 1 of the Electronics Department, at the Polytechnic School, presented by Carlos Cob Parro, tutored by professors Cristina Losada Gutierrez and Marta Marrón Romera.
The PhD is focused on video-surveillance systems and AI:
In light of recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and its increasing application across various fields, this thesis explores how AI is deployed in video surveillance, covering both its underlying architecture and the production deployment infrastructure.
These advances are supported by the publication of four articles in journals indexed in the JCR (Journal Citation Reports, three of them in the first quartile and one more in the second) and two contributions to conferences (one national and one international),
in which several innovative solutions are proposed in detail. Thus, this doctoral thesis is presented as a compilation of articles.
